Helmi Kekkonen (b. 1982) is a Helsinki-based author who debuted with a collection of short stories, Home (2009). Since then, she has written four novels: The Choice (2011), Unsheltered (2014), the Runeberg Prize nominated The Guests (2016) and This Woman’s Life (2021). She is considered one of the strongest voices in contemporary Finnish prose.
